Creating Reviews

What makes for a great review?
RealtyScoreCard.com reviews are informative, smart & easy to identify with because people just like you take the time to share their experiences with you on conducting business with Realty Pro’s in your neighborhood.

The best reviews are personal and experiential, and tend to offer helpful suggestions, perhaps even an insider tip or two. The most useful reviews sometimes make mention of unique qualities that make the Realty Pro special or the type of person who might also like to work with that specific Realty Pro.

What and Who am I reviewing?
Any Realty related business, service. Think: Title/Escrow Agents, Attorneys, Real Estate Agents, Real Estate Brokers, Mortgage Brokers, Lenders, Banks, Foreclosure Consultants, Short Sale Consultants, Real Estate Investors, Home Inspectors, Appraisers, Auction Companies and any other Realty Pro’s you have worked with.

Can I review a Realty Pro I'm connected to?
Please do not review your own business or a business at which you have been or are currently employed with. Remember your neighbor is expecting to read honest, unbiased and fair reviews from you.

What if my Realty Pro offers me something free or at a discount to write them a review?
RSC Neighbors do NOT accept freebies or discounts in exchange for reviews. For example, if a realtor offers you a $250 discount on their services in exchange for a 5 star review you should not accept his or her offer.

If you were given something for free or a discount from a Realty Pro you’ve worked with and it was directly related to you writing a review for their services please let your RSC Neighbors know.

For example, if the realtor gave you a $250 off coupon on his or her services as a special promotion, you should include that information in your review. The RealtyScoreCard Neighborhood is about honest & informative reviews, so while we're happy you had an extra special experience, we ask you let the whole RSC Neighborhood know.

What if I had a bad experience? Can I say something negative?
Yes. We want to hear about your good experiences and your not so good ones. Be sure to include all the relevant facts and details. The purpose of RealtyScoreCard.com is to score Realty Pro’s so that your neighbors can make informed decisions that help them as they buy, sell, refinance or search for a home.

Whether it's a positive review or a negative one, please keep in mind that your opinions are generally protected but posting false information can have legal ramifications .

Does RealtyScoreCard.com ever remove reviews?
Not often. But in some cases one of the RealtyScoreCard.com team will remove a review (and will typically email the writer to let them know) if it doesn't follow these guidelines:

Conflicts of interest. The best way that the RSC site can serve its members is to offer
honest and unbiased information. Please do not use the reviews if there is a conflict of interest between you and the company you are about to review. For example, owners shouldn't sing the praises of their own businesses or bash their competitors, and users shouldn't comment on their current or former employers.

Second-hand experiences and hearsay. For example, you can't give a Home Inspector a bad review because your co-worker complained about his unprofessional outfit. Your reviews must be about your personal experiences, not someone else's.

Personal attacks. The RSC Neighborhood wants to hear the truth and can handle it, but there's no need for lewdness, hate speech and other displays of bigotry.

Relevance. Reviews aren't the place for rants about a business's employment practices, political ideologies, or other matters that don’t relate to their main business service.

Plagiarism. Be a good neighbor and use your own words to write reviews about your own real experience with a Realty Pro in your area. We have a zero tolerance policy for fake reviews or reviews copied from another website.

Privacy

What does RealyScoreCard.com do with my personal information?
RSC takes your privacy very seriously. Please take the time to review our privacy policy so you can see exactly what we do with your personal information. But know that we hate spam & junk mail just as much; if not more than you do and work to protect your sensitive information.

What if I experience Un-Neighborly–like conduct?
